On the trail of the Vienna Prater

Prater Museum Vienna

The original Wurstelprater (amusement park) was destroyed during the Second World War. However, traces of the old Prater can still be seen in the Prater Museum to find.

This somewhat different museum takes a look at a bygone world of popular amusements and offers interesting photos of show athletes, giants, wrestlers, dwarves and other prodigies. You will also find Numerous preserved originals like the famous Viennese Watschenmann and the Patron saint of the Wurstelprater in the form of Fortuna, the goddess of luck, a former carousel figure several meters high.

This place is magical and ideal for an entertaining weekend afternoon in Vienna with a difference.
