The city hiking trail 1 is eleven kilometers long and you should allow a walking time of approx. four hours<\/strong> to plan. The hike starts at the Nu\u00dfdorf terminus of streetcar D. A big advantage: if you travel with the D-carriage<\/strong> you also have the opportunity to visit Vienna's top sights along the Ringstrasse.<\/p>\r\n

Once in Nussdorf, the route follows Zahnradbahnstra\u00dfe and Beethovengang to Wildgrubgasse. The route continues through the Wildgrube past the Heiligenstadt cemetery to the Sulzwiese.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The Sankt Marx cemetery is a well-preserved Biedermeier cemetery in the 3rd district of Vienna<\/strong>. It was built in 1874 and is now a listed building.<\/p>\r\n

Tourists rarely stray here and so this burial site is rather unknown. The Viennese sight is mainly visited by locals twice a year: for the Lilac blossom<\/strong>which has also already become an unofficial trademark, and to All Saints' Day<\/strong> because of cemetery romance and autumn feeling.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Unfortunately, nobody knows exactly where the grave is, because all the people who were involved in Mozart's burial took their knowledge with them to the grave.
